Guillermo Söhnlein is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for space commercialization, ocean exploration, and technology innovation. Through Fortivo Holdings, he provides consulting and advisory services to investors, ventures, and organizations in the aerospace, marine, and technology industries. Guillermo currently serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Marble Exploration, a media company that promotes the human exploration of extreme environments, as well as Chairman of the WayPaver Foundation, a grant-making institution supporting research and technology development in furtherance of permanent human lunar settlement. During his 18-year professional career, Guillermo has launched 7 for-profit companies and 3 nonprofit organizations. In 2003, he was Founder of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs, a global online community connecting entrepreneurs with space-related resources. In 2006, he was Founder of Space Angels Network, an international group of investors focused on early-stage aerospace ventures. In 2014, he was Co-Founder of Ansible Space Communications Systems (now RBC Signals), a provider of outsourced ground system infrastructure for small satellite operators. Guillermo currently serves on the Advisory Boards for the BLUE Ocean Film Festival, Shanghai Ocean University’s Hadal Science and Technology Research Center, and Spike Aerospace. He is a member of The Explorers Club and a Fellow of the Opus Novum Foundation. A former officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, he earned his A.B. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of California's Hastings College of the Law.
