Corporate Director of Communications, Sierra Nevada Corporation
In her role as Corporate Director of Communications at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), Brooke Salkoff oversees all external and internal communications efforts to promote and protect SNC’s brand as a global aerospace and defense company. SNC tells a unique story in that it operates internationally, has won the hard-earned trust of customers including NASA and the Pentagon, and is still privately held by two sole co-owners, Fatih and Eren Ozmen (SNC’s CEO and President, respectively). Brooke spent 17 years on-the-air in television news, including as national correspondent for NBC News (using her maiden name, Brooke Hart). Brooke’s assignments included Presidential campaigns, conventions and inaugurations including live on-location coverage of President Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2009. She also reported from Washington, DC and on location on the September 11th attacks and aftermath, the Washington-area sniper attacks, and major political and financial news of the day. Following her career in television news, Brooke oversaw video communications at the bipartisan research and advocacy institution, The Pew Charitable Trusts. She then joined the tech/venture world as a start-up CEO and later as vice-president and venture partner at a tech fund in northern Virginia. Brooke graduated from Stanford University, earning a degree in Humanities with honors. She earned her Masters degree from Georgetown University. She lives in Nevada with her two kids, ages 12 and 14.
