Director of Venture Strategy and Research, Space Frontier Foundation
Jeff Matthews is the Director of Venture Strategy and Research at the Space Frontier Foundation. In this role, he directs SFF's venture capital research and develops industry engagement and partnership strategies. He also provides leadership and fosters industry collaboration for the foundation’s NewSpace Venture Labs, a virtual accelerator created to assist and scale early stage startups. Jeff is an experienced leader with a strong entrepreneurial mindset that specializes in creating innovative value creating solutions, developing high-performing teams, and leveraging agile approaches to solve complex business needs. He has expertise in business development, systems development, information security, finance, and strategic planning that delivers actionable plans and sustainable, high-impact solutions. Jeff is a subject matter expert in technology enablement, venture capital strategy, performance management, enterprise architecture transformation, startup development, and aerospace. Jeff's past work experience includes serving as a Program Manager for the Tauri Group, where he provided on-site support for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Strategic Investment Division. In addition, he has spent a number of years working as a consultant at various business and management firms. Jeff holds a MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Oregon and a MS in Computer Information Systems, IT Project Management and Security Concentrations from Boston University.
